cybergutsNot much to say right now. Just wanted to get an online journal going. Sitting on the couch with Henry. Day off today, so I spent the morning playing Baldur's Gate 3; completed Cazador's palace and Astarion's questline.
Got bored, so took a walk around Sloan's Lake, enjoying my Patreon early access to the upcoming HEALTH album Rat Wars. I think a video for Demigods drops in about 45 minutes.
After that, M and I went to DANG Soft Serve which I was unfamiliar with. I got a smores flavored "Bomb Cyclone" with cheesecake bits, kit-kats, waffle cone bits, and sprinkles. It was amazing, but put me into a sugar coma for awhile. Also definitely not vegan, which I would like to return to.
After napping for awhile, and unable to focus on a game, I decided to finally watch Ergo Proxy, which I've been interested in awhile. Unfortunately the compression on Hulu looks like dog-shit, so I quit after one episode, which I was feeling. I started Claymore now, but then had the random thought again to try to see if online journaling was still a thing and, well, here I am.
A more interesting thing though, something that's been on my mind today - last night at the Dying Wish show (with Foreign Hands, Boundaries, and Roman Candle // Marquis Theater) I ran into a former RR patient, C. He excitedly introduced me to his friend as his "counselor from rehab" and said it was his first hardcore show. He also told me he made it through the program that I dropped him off at and was now living at a sober living with more freedom. It was such a full circle moment for me, to be the guy on the other end of the conversation.
Anyway, I'm excited for this site. Feels like 2004 doing this, which I always miss deeply. Reminds me of lurking an old crush's LJ back in the day. Back to work tomorrow, which is Thanksgiving. Should be a mellow day. No school work this week either, but will probably try to get my stats homework done if it's slow tomorrow.
